The Cutting Edge

The Derwent Craft Knife can be used for many different applications.

It is perfect for sharpening pencils and cutting paper but it can also be used to add textural interest to your work …

Use the craft knife to scrape the colour core of the pencil over a pre-wetted area and let the pigment fall onto the wet surface. You can layer several colours on top of each other to create a more interesting effect. The knife can also be used to impress lines into your paper before applying colour. This is an ideal way of creating veins on leaves or whiskers on animals.

The Derwent Craft Knife comes on a blister card with 5 replacement blades as it is important to change the blade regularly as a blunt blade will tear your paper and damage your pencils.
